Travelin’, Man

So, yes, I’ve been travelin’ man… and have finally found the time to download the pictures from our vacation last month to Los Angeles.

Here’s a few of my favorites.

Flying out to LA Friday night June 22nd on an express plane which is really, really small compared to a regular 747.

Our hotel room in Los Angeles near the airport was really nice! our only complaint was the parking or lack there of.

After arriving in LA & checking into our hotel we headed to Saddle Ranch at Universal City Walk to kick off his birthday which was the next day the 23rd. With surprisingly no hangovers on Saturday morning we headed to Manhattan Beach and found this quaint little restaurant to have breakfast at and it was delish! After breakfast since we had some time to spare before our next adventure we took a stroll and headed down to the beach for a bit. That afternoon we headed down to Anaheim for a Dodgers vs. Angels game which was truly an experience. A cross town rival game wouldn’t be complete without people getting into a fight and someone getting arrest. And it was two girls at that!! Those Dodgers have some die hard fans, I tell ya!On Sunday before we met my brother and his family at the beach we did some sight seeing and made a quick stop by the Los Angeles Coliseum to take a few photos. The it was off to the Santa Monica Pier and I got to see my son who had flow out to LA earlier in the week to visit with family!!That’s me with my nephew DL whom I hadn’t seen in almost 2 years. I miss him soooo much!!My brother & I and our little family’s. We all played at the beach, went on some rides on the pier and had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp which is always a good eats!Monday & Tuesday were spent visiting more family & friends and showing Kawon around the city where I grew up out in the Inland Empire. Our flight was scheduled to depart around noon on Wed so my brother along with my nephew & son picked us up from the car rental place to go have some lunch before we headed back to LAX.  Look at these boys looking all grown up!About a week after I got back in town to Dallas, I headed down to Houston to hang out with a long time friend and ended up taking an impromptu road trip to New Orleans. The Essence Music Festival was taking in place that weekend while we were in town so there was lots of stuff going on!

We had so much fun in California while we were there! It’s hard to imagine that I ever moved away from the beautiful weather, the food, the music and scenery. But if I hadn’t moved to Dallas then I wouldn’t have met my Mister Right!! But hey, it’s only a plane ride away, right?!
